Frequently asked Questions

What are the eligibility requirements for this scholarship?
Applicants must be:
  • An active participant on track to complete the 2026 ACE Mentor Program.
  • High school junior planning on participating in next year's (2027) ACE Program.
  • Available to attend the 2026 ACE Summer Camp (July 11-18, 2026), if selected. Please make sure to check your calendar with your parent/guardian before submitting your application.
Can I apply to the Summer Camp if I'm not an ACE Junior?
Unfortunately, we only accept applications from current ACE students who are high school juniors.
When will scholarship recipients be announced?
Recipients of the Junior Summer Camp Scholarship will be notified at the ACE Final Presentations in May.
Is there a way to simply register instead of applying for the scholarship?
There is no way to simply register instead of applying for the scholarship. The scholarship is how the ACE Oregon affiliate decides which students attend the camp.
If awarded, would I be going to the airport by myself or in a small group?
ACE National arranges flights for campers. Typically, all ACE Oregon students take the same flight out to Denver. Once campers arrive, National will have folks waiting for you at the airport. They provide the campers and families with detailed information on who to look for and the steps they take to bring everyone to the University of Colorado. National will send campers additional information.
